“PLEASE SEND HELP”. An artist who painted on a wall on the call for help for Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has rumbled the internet. Well, it is true. Luka definitely needs help right now to compete in a very stacked Western Conference. No team has ever won a championship by having only one superstar on their roster. Today, the Mavs have to do something to pair Luka with a co-star in order to dominate the west. But, who should it be?
It was proven that the Doncic and Porzingis project did not work in the past. This season, Luka Magic was paired with another good big man, Christian Wood. Although they are a playoff team, it seems that there is still something missing. Luka is a clear-cut MVP this season if not for Nikola Jokic. Let’s list down the 3 best NBA superstars that are a great pair for Luka Doncic.
3. Nikola Jokic
Arguably the best center in the NBA today, Nikola Jokic would be a perfect co-star for Luka. Pairing two of the best European players in history would be a disaster for other teams.

Even as a two-time MVP, Jokic is still fairly underrated. He has the highest +/- in the league this season and without him, the Denver Nuggets would be a lottery team for sure. As of the moment, Jokic and Doncic are facing the same problem – carrying their team and playing without help. What if these two team up in the future? That would destroy the league. Although a Doncic-Jokic duo would be scary on the offensive side of the ball, they might find a hole on defense. Despite that, we would like to see this one very soon.

2. Zach LaVine
The trade deadline is almost coming to an end and there have already been some names being rumored to be traded by their team soon. One of which is the Chicago Bulls All-Star guard, Zach LaVine.

There has been a great push to send LaVine to Dallas as the Mavericks front office is heavily interested in the 27-year-old superstar. As of now, the Bulls are 10th in the East despite having LaVine, Demar Derozan, Nikola Vucevic, and Alex Caruso on their roster. Indeed, it is safe to say this Bulls team isn’t winning anything this season. With LaVine now wanting a trade, it would be fair to send him to a contender such as the Dallas Mavericks. A team where he can be a great co-star to Doncic.

1. Joel Embiid
Another excellent and versatile center, Joel Embiid, is in talks to relieve Doncic in his duties as the sole superstar of Dallas.

Embiid is a 5-time All-Star, 4-time All-NBA, and 3-time All-Defensive had just won the scoring title last season. His resume is already very impressive for a 28-year-old athlete. However, he and the Philadelphia 76ers – despite being no.2 in the East – aren’t showing signs of a championship-worthy team. Yes, they are a contender with him, James Harden, and Tyrese Maxey on the floor but they aren’t on that level yet. JoJo will be an unprotected free agent this year which means he is the biggest fish on the market. That being said, he could be eyed by none other than the Mavericks. A pick-and-roll duo of Doncic and Embiid would be deadly, even deadlier than the Harden-Embiid project.
