Top 10 anticipated TV shows that may come out this 2023

2022 was filled with some of the most entertaining and must-watch shows. From Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and more, there are literally millions to choose from. Now, we had just entered 2023 and we are listing 10 of the most anticipated shows (new or sequels) that may get its official release this year. Given, each one of these shows’ release dates haven’t been announced yet.

10. American Horror Story Season 12 (Hulu)

Each year sinces it was conceived in 2011, the hit horror series, American Horror Story, never fails to get a new horrifying season.

AHS skipped season 10 in 2020 due to the pandemic but resumed the following year. According to the pattern of each season’s release, season 12 may come out between September and October of 2023.

9. Rick and Morty Season 7 (HBO or Hulu)

Rub a Dub Dub! The return of the grandfather-duo of Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith for Season 7 is slated to be released this 2023.

But, with the show’s creator, Justin Roiland’ current controversies, a delay is inevitable. However, it was confirmed the show will still go on and will follow schedule.

8. Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Disney+)

Fans of Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson novels are in for a treat as Disney+ will be giving the beloved franchise its proper live-action adaptation.

The cast has already been informed and production is said to be wrapping up. Walker Scobell portraying the titular character and will be joined by the likes of Leah Jeffries (Annabeth Chase), Aryam Simhadri (Grover), amongst others.

7. The Witcher Season 3 (Netflix)

We will be seeing the last of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia since his announcement that he will be leaving the show after season 3.

Liam Hemsworth was reportedly the actor replacing Cavill but fans of Superman aren’t fond of it. A lot of differences occured between Cavill and the producers which resulted to his untimely departure. That being said, The Witcher season 3 was reported to be coming out on March of 2023.

6. What If…? Season 2 (Disney+)

Marvel’s What If…? Season 1 release in 2021 was a huge success thay garnered a lot of positive feedback. With a lot of creativity left for us to wonder, Marvel agreed to continue the series for a second season.

It is rumored to be coming out early in 2023 but frontrunners of the show hasn’t given any hint which month. So, we just have to wait a bit longer.

5.  Gen V (Amazon Prime Video)

Amazon Prime just released a teaser trailer for The Boys’ spinoff series, Gen V, and everyone is going nuts.

Mixing The Boys’ debauchery and the uncontrollable hormones of college students, everything is going to be messy. Gen V is slates to release this year according to reports.

4.  Secret Invasion (Disney+)

The most awaited MCU series revolving around the involvement of shape-shifting Skrull who have been secretly invading Earth.

Obviously, we will see the return of our favorite characters, especially Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

3. Avatar: The Last Airbender (Netflix)

Only a few of you might know about this, but Netflix is making a live-action TV adaptation of Nickelodeon’s animated show of the same name.

Filming is said to have wrapped up so we might be seeing the series by the end of this year. Additonally, Avatar Studios are also making other projects like a new Avatar series which is an Earthbender set in present time and a movie about the adult version of Aang and his friends. Both of these projects might grace us in 2025, according to the studio behind it.

Just forget about the movie adaptation of ATLA because it really sucks!

2. Reacher Season 2 (Amazon Prime Video)

Allan Ritchson is figuratively born to be Jack Reacher. After a huge success just days after the season 1 premiere, Amazon already ordered two more season of Reacher.

Filming has reportedly finished and other cast aside from Ritchson were also confirmed. Thus, it’s likely season 2 will come out this year and season 3 may just be right around the corner.
